Enterprise Solutions Engineer
Postman is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to join our team and support the growth of our enterprise business. In this role, you will collaborate with the sales team to promote an API-first development culture, nurture customer relationships, and guide users in leveraging Postman's platform to build their APIs effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for APIs, experience in enterprise sales, proficiency in JavaScript, and expertise in using Postman.
Your responsibilities will include driving enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting strategic and enterprise customers. You will conduct discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value workshops with prospective clients looking to adopt Postman for their API lifecycle. Additionally, you will address technical questions or objections, provide solutions or workarounds to meet customer needs, and understand current customer workflows to help them adopt API-first development best practices. Sharing customer feedback with appropriate teams and acting as a technical intermediary between sales and other departments will also be key aspects of your role.
To be successful in this position, you should have over eight years of experience in enterprise sales or solutions engineering, with at least four years in software development. A strong background in APIs and data platforms is essential, along with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. The role is remote-friendly, with the ability to travel up to 50%. You should be comfortable engaging with all levels of technologists, including individual developers, QA, product, and engineering leaders, and have experience interacting with senior management and executive audiences to convey Postman's value proposition.
