Enterprise Solutions Engineer
The Enterprise Solutions Engineer at Postman plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Postman's API platform within enterprise organizations. Collaborating closely with the sales team, this position focuses on promoting an API-first development culture, nurturing customer relationships, and guiding users in effectively leveraging Postman's tools to build and manage their APIs. In this role, the Enterprise Solutions Engineer is responsible for driving enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting strategic and enterprise customers. This includes conducting discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value workshops to assist prospective customers in adopting Postman for their API lifecycle needs. The engineer addresses technical inquiries, provides solutions to customer challenges, and shares valuable customer feedback with internal teams to enhance the product. Additionally, they maintain and develop customer sandbox environments, create proof-of-concept integrations, and act as a technical intermediary between sales and other teams to ensure customer needs are met.
Candidates for this position should have over eight years of experience in enterprise sales or solutions engineering, with at least four years in software development and API and data platforms. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of APIs, modern development methodologies, and DevOps practices. Experience with enterprise SaaS sales processes, including familiarity with security concerns of cloud services, is essential. Candidates should be comfortable engaging with various technologists, from individual developers to senior management, and possess excellent communication skills.
The estimated on-target earnings (OTE) for this role range from $200,000 to $245,000, complemented by a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
