Federal Strategic Account Executive
Axon is seeking a Federal Strategic Account Executive to lead the strategy, positioning, and sale of its comprehensive technology ecosystem to key federal law enforcement agencies. This role is pivotal in assisting these agencies to modernize operations, enhance transparency, and achieve safer community outcomes. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Federal and is ideally based in the Washington D.C. area, though remote candidates are considered.
The primary responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, and shaping strategic opportunities within the federal sector. The executive will develop and execute account strategies that position Axon as a trusted technology partner, lead complex solution sales by translating customer mission requirements into comprehensive solutions, and engage executive-level stakeholders to build durable relationships across federal agencies. Additionally, the role involves driving the full capture lifecycle—from opportunity shaping and solution design to proposals, demonstrations, and negotiations—while collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and technical teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
Candidates should have a proven track record in complex federal sales environments with long buying cycles and multiple stakeholders. Strategic thinking about territory development, comfort in leading capture strategies and shaping opportunities early, and the ability to build trusted advisor relationships with government leaders are essential. Motivation by mission impact as well as revenue outcomes, and the capacity to operate in ambiguous environments with rapid change, are also key attributes for success in this role.
