Fiber Technician

As a Fiber Technician at xAI's Memphis data center, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on advancing artificial intelligence to enhance human understanding of the universe. This role offers a dynamic environment where your technical skills will directly contribute to maintaining and expanding the critical network infrastructure that supports xAI's mission.

Your primary responsibilities will include installing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optic systems to ensure optimal performance. This encompasses tasks such as examining and replacing faulty cables, conducting regular maintenance routines, and performing fiber splicing. Additionally, you will monitor signal strength across various devices and maintain accurate system records and designs.

The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of direct experience in data center environments, specifically with installing and routing optical fiber in large-scale Tier 3 or 4 facilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must be comfortable working in confined spaces, at elevated heights up to 50 feet, and be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to meet operational needs.
