Field CTO
The Field CTO at Celonis serves as a strategic technical advisor for the company's most significant prospects and customers. This role involves collaborating closely with C-level executives to align their long-term strategic goals with Celonis's technical vision, ensuring that the company's technology meets the evolving needs of the global market.
Key responsibilities include leading data, cloud, and innovation strategies for major global accounts, utilizing methodologies like Capability Mapping to identify high-value opportunities. The Field CTO will architect innovative solutions using emerging technologies such as Agentic AI to address complex enterprise challenges. Additionally, the role involves partnering with Sales and Value Engineering teams to drive revenue through new customer acquisition and strategic up-selling, as well as acting as a critical feedback loop between Product & Engineering teams and the market.
Candidates should have 15 to 20 years of relevant experience, ideally having served as a CTO at a consulting firm, Field CTO at a software vendor, or Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture within a major corporation. A proven track record of presenting complex technical visions to C-suite stakeholders, deep experience in Enterprise Modernization and EA Methodologies, and a robust understanding of Agentic AI are essential. A strong background in Data Architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS solutions like Salesforce and ServiceNow is also required. An MSc degree in Computer Science or an equivalent IT-related field is preferred.
The base salary range for this role in New York is $191,000 - $255,000 USD, with total compensation including base salary, bonus/commission, equity, and benefits such as health, dental, life insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
