Field CTO
Postman, the world's leading API platform, is seeking a Field CTO to join their rapidly growing team. This role involves working closely with customers to understand and guide their API strategies, ensuring seamless integration of Postman's products and services into their architectures. The Field CTO will report directly to the CTO and collaborate with various teams to deliver exceptional value to clients.
Key responsibilities include acting as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with sales and customer success teams during pre-sales, onboarding, and ongoing support, and developing and delivering customer-facing presentations, demos, and workshops. The Field CTO will also gather customer feedback to inform product development, stay current on industry trends, and represent Postman at industry events. Additionally, the role involves supporting strategic partnerships and mentoring internal team members.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in software development, architecture, or a related field, with a strong focus on API development and strategy. Proven experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as solutions architect or technical consultant, is essential. In-depth knowledge of API technologies, exceptional communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset are required. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred; a master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $250,000 to $375,000, plus a competitive equity package.
