Finance Expert - Corporate Finance
xAI is seeking an experienced corporate finance professional to join their team as an AI Corporate Finance Data Specialist. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in strategic financial planning, capital allocation, budgeting and forecasting, investor relations, and corporate development to create high-quality data annotations and real-world examples that train and refine xAI’s AI models. You will collaborate closely with technical teams to improve annotation tools and develop realistic corporate finance scenarios, ensuring the models accurately capture the complexities of corporate finance decision-making.
Key responsibilities include using proprietary software to deliver precise inputs and annotations for corporate finance projects, creating and curating realistic scenarios involving financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, capital structure decisions, investor communications, earnings call preparation, corporate development strategies, capital raising, and treasury management. Additionally, you will partner with technical staff to support the development of new AI tasks, contribute to innovative tooling, and help design and refine efficient annotation tools tailored to corporate finance workflows.
The ideal candidate will have professional experience in corporate finance roles such as CFO, Corporate Development, FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, or similar positions at public or large private companies. A strong command of written and spoken English, excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are essential. Superior reading comprehension and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment with incomplete or ambiguous information are also required. A genuine interest in technological innovation and its application to corporate finance is highly valued.
Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent finance credentials. Experience mentoring or training junior team members in corporate finance practices, such as financial modeling, forecasting, investor presentations, or deal execution, is advantageous. Comfort with recording audio or video sessions for data collection purposes and prior exposure to AI, machine learning, or data annotation workflows are also beneficial.
Compensation for U.S.-based candidates ranges from $45 to $100 per hour, depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications. International candidates will receive information during the recruitment process.
