Finance Expert - FICC Research
xAI is seeking a skilled Fixed Income Data Expert to enhance its AI models by providing high-quality data annotations and inputs tailored to fixed income markets. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in fixed income trading and analysis, including government and corporate bond trading, interest rate derivatives, credit analysis, yield curve construction, portfolio management, securitized products, relative value analysis, duration and convexity hedging, spread analysis, fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC) research, and fixed income pricing methodologies to support the training of AI systems. You will collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation tools and curate impactful data, ensuring our models effectively capture real-world fixed income market dynamics. This role requires adaptability, strong analytical skills, and a passion for driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include utilizing proprietary software to provide accurate input and labels for fixed income projects, delivering curated, high-quality data for scenarios involving fixed income trading, bond valuation, interest rate products, credit spread analysis, portfolio construction, securitized products, yield curve strategies, hedging techniques, and market-making activities. You will collaborate with technical staff to support the training of new AI tasks and contribute to the development of innovative technologies. Additionally, you will assist in designing and improving efficient annotation tools tailored for fixed income market data and select and analyze complex problems in fixed income markets aligned with your expertise to enhance AI model performance. Interpreting, analyzing, and executing tasks based on evolving instructions, maintaining precision and adaptability, are also key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will have professional experience in fixed income markets or related fields, such as FICC research, fixed income trading, portfolio management, credit research analysis, sales, or quantitative analysis focused on rates, credit, or securitized products. Proficiency in reading and writing informal and professional English, strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, and excellent reading comprehension with the ability to exercise autonomous judgment with limited data are essential. A passion for technological advancements and innovation in fixed income markets is also required.
Preferred qualifications include relevant certification or advanced training, such as Series 7, Series 63, CFA, FRM, or similar finance-related certification. Experience mentoring or training others in fixed income practices, such as bond valuation, yield analysis, duration management, or trading strategies, is advantageous. Comfort with recording audio or video sessions for data collection and familiarity with AI or data annotation workflows in a technical setting are also desirable.
This position offers competitive compensation, with U.S.-based candidates earning between $45 and $100 per hour, depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications. International candidates will receive information regarding compensation during the recruitment process.
