Finance Expert - Quantitative Trading
As a Quantitative Trader at xAI, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our advanced AI systems by providing high-quality annotations, evaluations, and expert input using specialized labeling tools. This position involves close collaboration with our technical teams to develop and refine AI capabilities, with a particular focus on quantitative trading domains. Your contributions will directly support xAI's mission to create AI systems that accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include delivering precise labels, rankings, critiques, and detailed solutions on assigned projects using proprietary annotation and evaluation software. You will be expected to consistently provide high-quality, curated data that meets strict technical and scientific standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineers and researchers to support the creation and iteration of new training tasks and evaluation benchmarks, and provide feedback to improve the usability and efficiency of annotation tools. Your expertise will be applied to solving complex problems in areas such as factor model construction, market microstructure, statistical arbitrage, machine learning-based alpha generation, and portfolio optimization.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or PhD in a strongly quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science (with a finance focus), Physics, Operations Research, or Econometrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in professional English are essential. A deep familiarity with financial data sources and platforms, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, Capital IQ, SEC EDGAR, CRSP/Compustat, and TAQ, is required. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound judgments with incomplete information. A genuine passion for quantitative methods, systematic trading, machine learning in finance, and frontier AI technology is highly valued.
Compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $100 per hour, depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
