As a Finance Expert at xAI, you will play a crucial role in advancing our AI systems by providing high-quality input and annotations using specialized software. This position involves close collaboration with our technical team to support the training of new AI tasks, ensuring the successful development and implementation of innovative initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in refining annotation tools and selecting complex problems from advanced finance fields, such as investment analysis, equities, commodities, real estate, fixed income, forex, derivatives, and accounting, to drive significant improvements in model performance.
Key responsibilities include using proprietary software applications to provide input and labels on defined projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality curated data. You will support the training of new tasks by working closely with technical staff, contributing to the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, you will interact with the technical team to improve the design of efficient annotation tools and choose problems from finance fields that align with your expertise, providing detailed solutions and evaluating model responses. Regular interpretation, analysis, and execution of tasks based on given instructions are also essential aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate must possess a Master's or PhD in a finance-related field, such as Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with a finance focus, or have equivalent professional experience as an investment analyst specializing in equity, commodities, real estate, fixed income, or accounting. Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English, is required, along with strong abilities to navigate various financial information resources and databases. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities are essential, as well as solid reading comprehension skills and the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment even when presented with limited data. A strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation in finance is highly valued.
Preferred qualifications include professional experience as an investment analyst, portfolio or wealth manager, or financial consultant. Experience with at least one publication in a reputable finance or economics journal or outlet is advantageous. Teaching experience in finance-related subjects and holding certifications such as CPA or CFA Charterholder are also desirable.
