The Finance Manager, Private Debt at Audax Group is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and accounting for the firm's Private Debt division based in Boston. This role involves collaborating with various teams, including Valuation, Investor Relations, CLO, FP&A, Tax, and Senior Debt Deal teams, to ensure accurate financial management and compliance across multiple Private Debt funds. Audax Group, founded in 1999, is a leading alternative investment manager with approximately $42 billion in assets under management, operating through three business lines: Audax Private Equity, Audax Private Debt, and Audax Strategic Capital.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund-level returns, and investor deliverables for various Private Debt funds. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Investor Relations team to prepare fundraising materials and respond to investor requests, including providing fund performance data and underlying portfolio financial information. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the valuation process for debt, equity, and CLO investments, reviewing fund administrators' work, administering assigned funds, and managing daily cash operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, along with a CPA certification. A minimum of five years of experience, including public accounting with a focus on alternative investment asset managers, is required. Extensive experience with private equity or debt valuation is essential, while experience with SEC/BDC reporting and CLOs is considered a plus. Strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite are also necessary.

The position offers a base salary range of $125,000 to $150,000, with potential eligibility for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
