Fraud Detection Analyst
Trustpilot is seeking a Fraud Detection Analyst to join its global Fraud & Investigations team. This role is pivotal in analyzing data, identifying patterns, and developing detection rules to prevent fraudulent activities, thereby safeguarding consumers, businesses, and the platform's integrity. The analyst will collaborate within a team that values transparency and fairness, contributing to Trustpilot's mission of becoming the universal symbol of trust.
Key responsibilities include identifying fraud trends using tools like SQL, Google BigQuery, and Google Looker; formulating rules to mitigate fraudulent behavior; investigating escalated cases of platform misuse; partnering with data science experts to enhance fraud detection methods; working with engineering teams to improve internal tools; providing analysis of user behavior to other departments; and communicating findings to various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have experience in data analytics or a similar analytical role, either through formal education in fields like Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in handling large datasets, writing queries using SQL or similar languages, and translating complex data into actionable reports is essential. A proactive mindset, self-learning motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are also important. Prior knowledge of formulating rules to combat fraudulent behavior is advantageous but not mandatory.
