Front-End Team lead
As a Front-End Team Lead at Via's Tel Aviv R&D center, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for developing the technology that powers our global Operation Center. This platform serves as the real-time heartbeat of our service, transforming traditional public transportation systems into smart, data-driven networks. Via is a leading transportation technology and service provider, partnering with hundreds of agencies worldwide to enhance public mobility.
In this role, you will mentor and guide Front-End engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring effective team execution. You will make key architectural decisions, participate in design discussions, and conduct code reviews to maintain high technical standards. Collaboration with Product, Design, and other engineering teams will be essential to create impactful user experiences. Additionally, you will be responsible for improving development processes and engineering practices within the team.
Candidates should have a B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams. A minimum of 5 years in professional software development is required, with strong expertise in React or similar Front-End frameworks. Proficiency in architecture, system design, and code reviews is essential. A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and a passion for continuous product and process improvement are key. Experience with map-based application development (e.g., Mapbox, Google JS SDK) and backend development (Python) is advantageous.
