Head of AI Platform Engineering
Postman, the world's leading API platform, is seeking a Head of AI Platform Engineering to spearhead the integration of artificial intelligence into its API ecosystem. This pivotal role involves aligning AI development with Postman's expanding platform, focusing on enhancing API collaboration and introducing intelligent agent capabilities. The position is based in San Francisco, California, and offers the opportunity to lead AI initiatives within a globally recognized company.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing Postman's AI platform strategy, emphasizing API ecosystem growth and platform innovation. You will drive the AI roadmap, focusing on API integration, platform expansion, and AI-driven agent functionality. Collaboration with business units, product teams, engineering, and external partners will be essential to ensure the successful deployment of AI initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of core AI platforms, ensuring technical and strategic alignment with AI features and API lifecycle improvements.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience managing AI or platform teams, preferably in API-centric or developer platform companies. A strong technical background in AI, machine learning, and API platforms, with hands-on experience in developing or integrating AI-driven APIs or agents, is essential. A deep understanding of API ecosystems, platform strategy, and partner dynamics is crucial. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate complex projects involving product, engineering, partnerships, and marketing is required. Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, are necessary. A passion for AI safety, ethical AI development, and building scalable, user-centric platforms is highly valued.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $310,000 to $400,000, complemented by a competitive equity package.
