Head of Risk & Insurance

As the Head of Risk & Insurance at Via Transportation, Inc., you will lead the company's insurance program, shaping its strategy, structure, and operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be integral to the company's risk management processes, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all operational markets.

Your primary responsibilities will include assessing Via's risk profile, identifying necessary coverage, and implementing risk programs tailored to each market. You will collaborate with senior leadership on risk strategy, manage relationships with brokers and insurance carriers, and oversee the development of efficient claims and litigation management systems. Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams to develop a risk management strategy that extends beyond insurance, aiming to identify and mitigate loss exposure.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in risk management or insurance, with a proven track record in building and managing insurance programs, particularly in companies operating across multiple jurisdictions. A strong analytical and data-driven approach is essential, as is the ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable processes and systems. Operational expertise and a hands-on, collaborative attitude are also crucial for success in this role.
