Garner Health is seeking a Healthcare Researcher to join its Clinical Research Team, reporting to the Director of Healthcare Research. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining Garner's proprietary claims-based physician performance measures. The company is dedicated to transforming the U.S. healthcare system by guiding employees to higher-quality, lower-cost care through data-driven insights.

The Healthcare Researcher will conduct literature reviews to develop and refine metrics for various medical conditions and procedures. Responsibilities include creating and validating measures using proprietary technical and statistical tools, maintaining documentation for stakeholders, collaborating with clinical experts, and working with product, data science, and engineering teams to support new product development.

Candidates should have a minimum of one year (preferably two or more) of experience working with health insurance claims data or electronic health record data. A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a master's degree or higher in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related fields. Strong biostatistics and epidemiological background, basic coding experience (SQL, Python, Stata, R, or SAS), and a strong interest in healthcare and clinical best practices research are essential.

The target salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision plan options, 401(k), and Teladoc Health services.
