Senior Software Engineer
Garner Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. As a rapidly growing healthcare technology company, we are dedicated to transforming the healthcare economy by delivering high-quality and affordable care. Our Engineering team tackles complex technical challenges, analyzing billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers nationwide. We operate in an AWS and Kubernetes environment, continually integrating new technologies to accommodate our expanding system load.
In this role, you will lead technical strategy and decision-making within your assigned domains. Your responsibilities will include utilizing AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems, mentoring early-career engineers, and collaborating across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on projects. Ensuring user privacy and security through best practices is also a key aspect of this position.
The ideal candidate has over four years of software engineering experience and a generalist mindset, ready to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques in a fast-paced startup environment. Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance, along with a desire to be part of a high-performing, mission-driven team, is highly valued.
The target salary range for this position is $175,000 to $215,000, depending on qualifications and skills.
