Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Garner Health is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their Engineering team in New York City. In this role, the Senior Machine Learning Engineer will lead technical strategies and execute multi-quarter projects. Responsibilities include building, optimizing, and maintaining machine learning, data, and software systems using AI. The engineer will also mentor team members to elevate technical standards, collaborate across disciplines to refine projects, and ensure user privacy and security through best practices.

The ideal candidate should have over three years of software engineering experience, particularly with machine learning systems, and at least two years in MLOps. Experience in leading engineering teams with a significant impact on technical strategy is essential. A versatile software engineering mindset, readiness to learn new technologies, proficiency in building complex systems using AI coding agents, and familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance are also required.
