Infrastructure Architect
As an Infrastructure Architect at Axon, you will lead the technical direction and architectural integrity of the company's core infrastructure platforms. This role involves managing virtualization environments, storage solutions, cloud infrastructures (Azure and AWS), database services, and foundational platform services that support both corporate IT and product-facing teams. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through innovative devices and cloud software, and this position is central to ensuring the scalability and reliability of these critical systems.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and approving infrastructure solutions that balance scalability, security, reliability, and cost. Your day-to-day activities will include leading a team of infrastructure engineers, providing technical guidance, and remaining hands-on in key areas such as virtualization, cloud engineering, storage, and database platforms. Collaboration with Network Architecture, Platform Engineering, Security, and Product teams will be essential to deliver well-architected, cross-functional solutions.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with demonstrated ownership of complex on-premises and cloud environments. Deep hands-on expertise with VMware virtualization, enterprise storage, and cloud infrastructure (Azure required; AWS preferred) is essential. Strong experience with database and platform services, including SQL-based environments, and proven leadership in managing technical infrastructure teams are also required. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is between $118,080 and $188,928 per year, depending on experience and location.
