The Infrastructure Engineer (Identity & Access Management) at Audax Group is a senior individual contributor role focused on designing, implementing, and operating the firm's identity and access management capabilities. This position serves as the subject matter expert for Entra ID, Conditional Access, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Zscaler ZPA, ensuring secure access to enterprise systems through zero trust and least privilege principles. Audax Group, founded in 1999, is a leading alternative investment manager with approximately $42 billion in assets under management and over 475 employees, operating through three business lines: Audax Private Equity, Audax Private Debt, and Audax Strategic Capital.

Key responsibilities include designing and operating enterprise identity and access management solutions aligned with zero trust and risk-based access principles. The role involves defining and enforcing standards for SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and access governance across cloud and on-premises systems. Additionally, the engineer will administer Entra ID environments, manage Conditional Access policies, deliver SSO integrations for SaaS and internal applications, and govern Microsoft Graph API access. The position also entails administering Zscaler ZPA for private application access and supporting network access controls using Meraki and FortiGate technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience, along with over five years of experience in Identity and Access Management or related infrastructure or security roles. Required technical qualifications include expert-level experience administering Entra ID, designing Conditional Access policies, and operating SSO and MFA at an enterprise scale. Strong experience with Entra ID Enterprise Applications, Microsoft Graph API permissions, and Zscaler ZPA is essential. Working knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP, and networking fundamentals related to authentication and access control is also required. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Purview, as well as PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $163,000, with potential eligibility for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance. Audax offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off (including sick leave, parental leave, volunteer leave, and vacation), charitable donation matching, family support services, and a 401(k) plan. The role is based in Boston, MA, with an expectation of four days per week in the office, providing opportunities for collaboration and professional growth within a dynamic and supportive environment.
