Instructional Designer - Enterprise
Axon is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join its Global Training Services team, focusing on the Enterprise market. This role involves designing and developing high-quality learning experiences, primarily delivered through video and eLearning, to support the adoption and effective use of Axon products by enterprise customers. The training created will help thousands of frontline workers and security professionals across various industries build confidence and competence with Axon technology in their specific environments.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with subject matter experts to analyze training needs and translate technical content into engaging learning experiences tailored for enterprise audiences. The Instructional Designer will design and develop video-based and blended learning content, including microlearning, scenario-based videos, and eLearning modules. Additionally, the role involves creating and editing instructional videos using tools such as Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as developing eLearning content with Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and PowerPoint. Contextualizing product training for different enterprise verticals and personas, localizing and adapting training content for specific industries and regions, and applying adult learning theory and instructional design best practices are also essential aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 3 years of experience in instructional design with a strong emphasis on digital and video-based learning. Demonstrated experience creating instructional videos and multimedia learning content, hands-on experience with tools like Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and PowerPoint, and strong project management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally are required. The ability to translate complex technical information into clear, learner-focused content and a willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 2–3 days per quarter) are also important.
