IT / AV Support Engineer - Beijing (Onsite)

Canva is seeking a highly motivated IT/AV Support Engineer to join our China IT Operations team in Beijing. This role is pivotal in supporting one of Canva's most strategic regions, focusing on AI innovation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing campus technology, events, hardware, and user experience, contributing to a globally distributed IT operations team dedicated to continuous improvement and automation.

The primary responsibilities include providing high-quality on-site and remote technical support to Canvanauts across China. This encompasses delivering AV and event technology support for various events, ensuring seamless execution by gathering technical requirements and collaborating with stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves supporting and troubleshooting on-site hardware such as MacBooks, mobile devices, network infrastructure, printers, and video conferencing systems.

Candidates should possess strong written and verbal English communication skills to effectively collaborate with global teams. Demonstrated experience in providing in-person IT support within an enterprise environment is essential. Proficiency in supporting Apple/Mac devices and familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools like Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Jira, and Confluence are required. Experience with event technology support, including video conferencing and hybrid setups, as well as exposure to onboarding/offboarding processes and access provisioning, is also necessary.
