Jr. Proposal Manager
The Jr. Proposal Manager at Accela is an entry-level position within the company’s Proposal Management team, supporting the preparation and coordination of proposals for government technology solutions. Accela is a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for government agencies, helping modernize civic processes and drive community engagement. As part of the business development organization, the Jr. Proposal Manager will collaborate closely with senior proposal managers, subject matter experts, and various internal stakeholders to contribute to Accela’s growth initiatives.
In this role, the Jr. Proposal Manager is responsible for assisting in the development, formatting, and submission of proposals for government RFPs, RFIs, and related documentation. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and organizing content, ensuring compliance with client requirements, coordinating timelines, and helping standardize best practices in proposal processes. The candidate will help manage schedules, track inputs and approvals, and support the creation of persuasive, polished proposal materials.
Required qualifications for this role include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a discipline such as business, English, or communications. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with proposal or technical writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential. Prior exposure to government contracts, public sector proposals, or SaaS technology solutions is considered a plus.
