Key Account Leader - Central
The Key Account Leader - Central at Axon is responsible for selling Axon products and services to law enforcement agencies within the designated territory, which includes Texas and Illinois. This quota-carrying, external field position requires the ability to articulate complex solutions, build and maintain senior-level relationships, navigate customer agencies and procurement processes, and lead the Axon team to success. The role provides technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and product training.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing revenue and market share at designated agencies to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve strategic objectives. The Key Account Leader will develop and maintain client relationships to drive revenue growth, execute account strategies by collaborating with the account team to deliver stronger value propositions, track customer activity in internal systems to identify additional opportunities, and ensure effective service delivery to accounts. The role also involves focusing on customer satisfaction, understanding the customer's business and workflows, developing proper contact networks within accounts, and overseeing all account activities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful customer-facing software (SaaS/Cloud) sales experience and at least 3 years of experience managing a book of business of major accounts. Solution or consultative sales experience working within complex sales processes is essential. Proficiency in data management using Salesforce or similar CRM, a strong understanding of Cloud and SaaS, and the ability to travel 70% or more, including overnight travel, are required. The candidate should be able to clearly and directly articulate complex solution offerings across technical and non-technical audiences, have startup experience, and some vertical experience, particularly in law enforcement or public safety. Being a team player and ready to own and drive the territory are also important qualities.
