Key Account Leader - Central
The Key Account Leader - Central at Axon is a strategic, quota-carrying field position focused on selling Axon's products and services to law enforcement agencies within the central United States. This role requires the ability to articulate complex solutions, build and maintain senior-level relationships, navigate customer agencies and procurement processes, and lead the Axon team to success. The position provides technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and product training.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing revenue and market share at designated agencies to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve strategic objectives. The role involves developing and maintaining client relationships to drive revenue growth, executing account strategies by collaborating with the account team to deliver relevant value propositions, tracking customer activity in internal systems to identify additional opportunities, and ensuring effective service delivery to accounts. The Key Account Leader is also responsible for forecasting, gathering intelligence on competitor activity, and providing feedback to marketing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of successful customer-facing software (SaaS/Cloud) sales experience and at least 3 years of experience managing a book of major accounts. Solution or consultative sales experience within complex sales processes is essential, along with data management experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems. A strong understanding of Cloud and SaaS is required. The role demands the ability to travel over 70% of the time, including overnight travel, and the capacity to clearly articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in law enforcement or public safety is preferred, and the candidate should be a team player ready to own and drive the territory.
