Lead Analytics Engineer
Graphcore is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to join their Data & Analytics team in Bristol, UK. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining the analytics engineering layer of Graphcore's data platform, focusing on creating curated data models and semantic structures that facilitate reliable self-service analytics across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various business and technical stakeholders to understand operational processes and decision-making needs, translating them into well-structured, governed datasets.
Key responsibilities include owning the dbt transformation layer, building and evolving data models to support self-service analytics, and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders to comprehend and address their analytical requirements. The role involves designing clear, maintainable SQL models, implementing robust testing and documentation practices, and optimizing model performance for efficiency. Additionally, the Lead Analytics Engineer will support self-service analytics by creating user-friendly datasets and contribute to the effective use of visualization and reporting tools.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in building production-quality dbt models, strong SQL skills, and a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders. They should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience with data visualization tools and a solid understanding of data governance principles are also desirable.
