Lead Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer
Graphcore is seeking a Lead Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer to oversee and enhance our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, which includes multiple sites and environments facilitating cross-company collaboration. This role is pivotal in maintaining the architectural integrity, security posture, and scalable growth of the Atlassian platform. A key aspect involves establishing a configuration-as-code environment, managing platform settings through APIs, pipelines, and source control to ensure consistency and traceability across all locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining multiple Atlassian Cloud sites, ensuring secure collaboration spaces across different companies. They will act as the authoritative decision-maker for Atlassian configurations, preventing configuration drift and ensuring architectural consistency. Responsibilities include defining and enforcing governance standards aligned with audit, compliance, and security requirements, as well as establishing and maintaining a configuration-as-code operating model. Additionally, the role involves building and maintaining automated identity and access provisioning, leading automation efforts for project provisioning, and developing self-service capabilities to standardize project setup.
Candidates must have extensive experience coordinating Atlassian Enterprise Cloud and proven experience operating as a lead or primary Atlassian platform owner. Strong automation expertise, including Jira Automation, REST APIs, and scripting, is essential. Demonstrated experience implementing configuration-as-code approaches for SaaS platforms is required, along with experience automating project configuration and enforcing standardization at scale. A strong understanding of access control based on user identity and automated provisioning models, as well as experience connecting Atlassian with Azure AD or similar identity providers, is necessary. Experience working in audit-controlled or governance-heavy environments and crafting secure multi-tenant or cross-company collaboration environments is also important.
