Lead Product Designer
Cohere Health is seeking an exceptional Lead Product Designer to join our dynamic design team. As a senior member and a founding member of our India design team, you will play a pivotal role in integrating design practices with our engineering team. Your work will directly impact over 700,000 healthcare professionals who utilize our solutions daily to process more than 12 million prior authorizations annually. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape thoughtful and intuitive experiences that make a meaningful difference for users.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end design for complex product areas, from framing problems through polished delivery and iteration. Key responsibilities include defining experience principles, flows, and interaction patterns that provide clarity across cross-functional teams. You will build high-fidelity prototypes to communicate concepts, test usability, and validate solutions. Additionally, you will craft visually compelling designs that reinforce product strategy and brand expression, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, data teams, and operations to shape the roadmap and deliver measurable impact.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in software product design, with ownership of end-to-end delivery for multiple products or substantial product areas. Experience working with or heavily on a design system is essential. Proven ability to operate in complex domains such as enterprise, healthcare, fintech, or analytics is required. Familiarity with frontend technologies like Google’s Material Design, React, HTML/CSS, and Design Tokens standards is necessary to collaborate effectively with engineers. Deep expertise in UX best practices, interaction design, and visual design craft is expected, along with experience working with cross-functional agile scrum teams. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, or equivalent experience is required.
Cohere Health offers a competitive compensation package, including health insurance, 401k, and bonus. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 annually. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
