Manager, Machine Learning & Data Science

As the Manager of Machine Learning & Data Science at Cohere Health, you will lead a team dedicated to developing and deploying models that automate and enhance complex clinical and administrative workflows. This role is pivotal in building and scaling the company's AI capabilities in India, contributing to the advancement of healthcare solutions through innovative technology.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading, mentoring, and developing a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists to foster a collaborative, high-performance environment. You will actively participate in the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data exploration and feature engineering to model development, evaluation, and deployment. Additionally, you will design and implement machine learning models for various applications, including retrieval, classification, and generative tasks, utilizing both structured and unstructured data.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or applied AI roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. Strong hands-on experience in building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in production is essential. A solid foundation in statistical methods, experimental design, and model evaluation, along with proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn, is required. Experience working with large, complex datasets and the ability to translate business challenges into analytical solutions are also important.
