Lead Solutions Engineer
The Lead Solutions Engineer at Square is a senior member of the Solutions Engineering team, responsible for supporting strategic partners and driving the technical direction of partner integrations. This role involves collaborating closely with Partnerships and Product teams to ensure integrations are high-quality, scalable, and aligned with Square's platform. The position is primarily remote, with a requirement to be based in the Pacific Time Zone.
Key responsibilities include partnering with the Partnerships team to support and grow strategic integrations on Square's platform, leading technical discovery and solution design for complex partner integrations, and driving integration quality across engagements. The Lead Solutions Engineer will also act as the technical lead, setting direction, guiding prioritization, and supporting day-to-day execution, as well as identifying patterns across partner integrations to improve platform capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Consulting, or related fields, with hands-on experience in full-stack development, including proficiency in RESTful APIs and coding. A proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable integrations is essential, along with experience owning day-to-day direction, prioritization, and execution for complex integrations or projects. Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences are also required.
