Legal Operations Associate
The Legal Operations Associate at Via will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of legal professionals to manage various in-house legal functions, including contract preparation, regulatory research, and compliance monitoring. Via is a leading transportation technology and service provider, transforming public transit systems into efficient, data-driven networks.
In this role, the associate will prepare, review, and edit contracts such as NDAs, SaaS licenses, and vendor agreements, while maintaining the company's forms and guidelines. They will research applicable federal, state, and local laws for domestic and international transit deployments, communicate regulatory requirements to operations teams, and develop processes to ensure compliance, particularly with Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration regulations. Additionally, the associate will manage internal databases, implement ticketing and document management systems, track compliance with GDPR and other data privacy laws, and provide administrative support for special projects.
Candidates should have a bachelor's or graduate degree with a strong academic record and 0-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a startup or legal environment. Meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential. Strong organizational and communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work autonomously are also important.
The compensation package includes a salary range of $70,000-$85,000, comprehensive health coverage with dental and vision plans, a 401(k) with company match and vesting, fully paid parental leave, and additional benefits such as mental health support, pet insurance, and other wellness perks.
