Litigation Defense Associate Attorney

Wilson Elser's Baltimore office is seeking a Litigation Defense Associate Attorney to join their team of exceptional professionals. This role offers the opportunity to represent sophisticated clients facing complex legal challenges within a collaborative environment. The firm, established in 1978, is a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices nationwide.

The associate will independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution, working closely with other attorneys and partners on various legal projects. Responsibilities include handling court appearances, depositions, and maintaining regular communication with clients to provide status reports.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Maryland. A minimum of three years of litigation experience in areas such as medical malpractice, general liability, construction, professional liability, and transportation is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with motion practice, report writing, discovery, and depositions. Trial and trial preparation experience is considered a plus, along with superior written and oral communication skills.

The position offers a salary range of $150,000 to $170,000, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
