M&A Counsel

The M&A Counsel will serve as the primary legal lead on mergers and acquisitions transactions from letter of intent through post-closing. This role involves managing legal workstreams, conducting due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and ensuring successful deal execution. The counsel will work directly with Beacon’s investment and operations teams, providing real-time legal guidance on deal structures, risk allocation, and negotiation strategies.

Candidates should possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of at least one bar, preferably in California or Ontario. A minimum of 3–5 years of M&A experience at a top-tier law firm or in a transaction-heavy in-house role is required, with direct experience in drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and related deal documents. Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency in contract review, due diligence, and document drafting is also desired.
