The Manager of Financial Systems and Corporate Accounting at PLS will serve as a subject matter expert on accounting, data flow, and system processes for multiple financial systems, including Great Plains, Blackline, and DocuPhase. This role supports account reconciliation, general ledger, and other subledger systems, and reports directly to the Controller. PLS is a leading retail provider of financial services, operating over 200 financial service centers across 12 states.

Key responsibilities include directing a team of four, overseeing all accounting functions performed by the Corporate Accounting team, reviewing general ledger reconciliations for corporate entities, and managing year-end corporate tax reporting. The role also involves maintaining and supporting accounting systems, leading the implementation of a new cloud-based General Ledger system, and acting as the account reconciliation tool subject matter expert. Additional duties encompass creating and maintaining user guides for accounting systems, providing support for resolving issues such as data fixes and application maintenance, and training end users on financial systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Information Systems/Computer Science, with at least six years of accounting experience. A CPA designation is preferred but not required. Prior experience supervising direct reports is essential, along with a strong understanding of accounting theory, proficiency in SQL, and robust project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to operate independently in a fast-paced environment are also critical.
