Manager of Training and Communications
The Manager of Training and Communications at PLS is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, and implementing effective learning and communication solutions that support the company's core functions and business processes. This role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and analyze information, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks for the instructional design team. Additionally, the manager oversees the creation, review, and dissemination of enterprise-wide internal communications to ensure consistency and clarity across the organization.
Key responsibilities include meeting with subject matter experts and end users to define requirements for various learning programs, recommending optimal learning solutions, leading training initiatives from inception to deployment, and conducting regular reviews to enhance existing training programs. The manager is also tasked with delivering functional and leadership development content through webinars, eLearning, and instructor-led formats, as well as utilizing Learning Management System data to prepare reports and provide recommendations to leadership. In the communications domain, the role involves writing, editing, and publishing the "Operational Bulletin," managing company directories, and consulting on communication content and delivery strategies.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, education, learning and development, communications, or organizational development, with 7-10 years of related work experience. Experience leading high-impact teams with at least three direct reports is preferred. The role requires a strong focus on accuracy and consistency in delivering high-quality communication and training content, proven experience in program development and implementation, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning technologies such as Articulate, Lectora, Captivate, and Camtasia is highly desirable, along with experience using Learning Management Systems.
PLS offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 annually for this position.
