Manager, Security Operations
As Marqeta's Manager of Security Operations, you will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the security operations program. Your team will monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats, ensuring the company's security posture remains robust and resilient.
Key responsibilities include directing the functions and processes of the Security Operations Center (SOC), leading the team to optimize identification and resolution of security incidents, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). You will manage the collection and documentation of security incidents, provide senior management with risk assessments, and continuously develop the incident response management program. Additionally, you will create and maintain reports and dashboards, conduct training exercises, and manage cross-functional responses to cyber fraud activities.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in security operations, with at least two years in a managerial role overseeing security operations and incident response. Proficiency with security tools such as XSOAR, CrowdStrike, Tenable, AWS Security Hub, and SIEM platforms is essential. Experience with PCI compliance, cloud technologies (especially AWS), and a strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals are also required. Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCIH, or Security+ are preferred.
Marqeta offers a flexible work environment, allowing this role to be performed remotely within the United States. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers based on geographic location: National ($177,600 - $222,000), Premium ($192,200 - $240,300), and Premium Plus ($209,000 - $261,200).
