Manager, Solutions Architect
Axon is seeking a Manager, Solutions Architect to lead a team dedicated to delivering technical excellence in solution architecture across the company's Real-Time Operations offerings. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Manager and cross-functional teams to implement and scale high-quality solution design processes, providing strategic support for mission-critical, customer-facing engagements. The position is remote, with a requirement to be within commuting distance to one of Axon's hub locations in Scottsdale, AZ; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; or Atlanta, GA. Approximately 30% travel is expected.
The Manager will lead and develop a team of Solutions Architects focused on law enforcement, campus, and corrections customers. Responsibilities include providing technical and project guidance to team members, ensuring consistent quality and productivity in solution delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and accountability. The role also involves analyzing and reviewing IT system architectures to scope and recommend technical solutions, partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation and integration, and participating in the hiring and onboarding of new Solutions Architects.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 4–6 years in solution architecture or related technical leadership roles, and 1–3 years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience. Expertise in solution architecture frameworks, cloud technologies, and systems integration is essential, along with effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in project management and business process analysis is required, as well as a basic understanding of integration coding methodologies. Experience in the public safety sector, such as RMS/CAD implementations, is preferred. Candidates must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and maintain CJIS clearance.
