Manager, Vulnerability & Data Security
As Marqeta’s Information Security Manager, you will lead the Vulnerability Management program and establish a comprehensive Data Security initiative. This role involves driving risk reduction across cloud environments, endpoints, and applications, while implementing controls and monitoring systems to safeguard critical data throughout Marqeta’s entirely cloud-based infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategies for asset coverage, scanning cadence, and prioritization using tools like Tenable and Snyk. You will integrate vulnerability findings into engineering backlogs with clear service-level agreements, collaborate with various teams to drive remediation efforts, and establish risk-based prioritization frameworks. Additionally, you will coordinate vulnerability disclosures, manage penetration testing intake, and lead threat-driven campaigns for actively exploited vulnerabilities.
The ideal candidate possesses 7–10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years leading programs or teams, preferably within regulated or fintech industries. Hands-on experience managing vulnerabilities at scale using Tenable and Snyk across cloud-native environments, containers, endpoints, and CI/CD pipelines is essential. Practical experience in building and maturing data security programs with tools like Sentra and Google DLP, along with strong policy design and enforcement skills, is also required. Familiarity with PCI and SOX compliance, knowledge of SDLC, DevSecOps, and cloud security architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure), and excellent communication and reporting abilities are crucial for success in this role.
