Manufacturing Systems Engineer II (Onsite)
As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer II at Axon, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and supporting the manufacturing systems and production processes at our Kassel facility. Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams, you will ensure that manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and reliable, contributing directly to our mission of protecting life through innovative technology solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include optimizing manufacturing systems, processes, and production workflows to ensure smooth operations. You will identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, tooling, and production systems to increase throughput and reduce operational friction. Additionally, you will work closely with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues affecting manufacturing performance and develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and system procedures.
To excel in this role, you should possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or manufacturing systems roles is required. Experience working in manufacturing environments such as electronics, hardware, aerospace, automotive, or other technically complex production settings is essential. You should have a proven track record of improving production systems, manufacturing processes, or factory workflows, along with the ability to analyze manufacturing data and identify opportunities for process improvements. A strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation is also necessary.
