Market Analyst
The Market Analyst position at Compass is integral to the CIH Data & Analytics organization, focusing on delivering data-driven research and content to assist agents, consumers, and the media in understanding housing market dynamics. This role emphasizes a Northern California perspective, providing localized insights to real estate professionals in the region.
Key responsibilities include conducting regional and local market analyses on metrics such as inventory, sales pace, price trends, and days on market. The analyst will monitor macroeconomic indicators like mortgage rates, employment, and consumer sentiment, translating their implications for Northern California housing markets. Additionally, the role involves researching topics such as luxury market dynamics, neighborhood-level trends, and price-tier segmentation.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of relevant industry experience, particularly in Bay Area and Northern California real estate market analysis. A strong analytical background with a commitment to self-directed data research is essential. Candidates should possess excellent written communication skills, familiarity with real estate statistical definitions and local MLS programs, and experience in producing charts and graphics for research or media. The role requires proactive engagement with the media and a dedication to honest and trustworthy market analysis.
The salary range for this position is $120,700 to $150,000, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units as part of the compensation package.
