Mechanical Test Engineer
The Mechanical Test Engineer will collaborate with Peloton's Hardware Design and Operations teams to lead new product qualification and ongoing reliability testing. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and safety of Peloton's innovative fitness products within a rapidly growing global business. The position is based in Woodinville, Washington, and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining test plans for new product development and sustaining engineering activities. The engineer will perform product validation and verification using both standard testing equipment and custom-built machinery. Additionally, the role involves designing, building, and automating custom test rigs and fixtures to interact with various exercise equipment. The engineer will also be responsible for writing test reports, providing technical support to technicians, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a background in Mechanical Engineering, with a Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, statistical analysis tools like Python, R, or Minitab, and automation skills using LabVIEW are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to read and create mechanical drawings are also required. Certifications in National Instruments LabVIEW (CLAD, CLD, CLA) and Six Sigma are preferred, and experience with PLC programming is a plus.
