Member of Technical Staff - Infrastructure Supercompute
As a Member of Technical Staff in Infrastructure Supercompute at xAI, you will be integral to operating some of the world's largest GPU supercomputing clusters, supporting both AI training and the deployment of production models. xAI is a mission-driven organization focused on creating AI systems that accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. The team is small, highly motivated, and emphasizes engineering excellence within a flat organizational structure.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, enhancing deployment pipelines, and ensuring robust, secure service delivery across our production environments. You will work with both on-premise clusters and cloud providers, and assist in establishing security best practices for internal researchers and live external traffic.
The ideal candidate will have experience writing scalable and highly available containerized applications in Rust, and managing compute fleets with tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, or other stateful automation libraries. Preferred skills include proficiency with Kubernetes, Pulumi, Rust, Go, and tools like Flux or ArgoCD.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $440,000 USD.
