Member of Technical Staff - Recommendation Systems

xAI is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join their team in Palo Alto, California. This role focuses on developing and implementing recommendation systems that enhance user experiences across various product surfaces. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and architecting recommendation algorithms, leveraging xAI's infrastructure and AI stacks to improve user engagement. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing data pipelines and training jobs that continuously learn from product data, iterating on algorithms based on real-time user feedback, and ensuring the scalability and efficiency of machine learning systems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in computer science and machine learning, with experience in implementing recommender systems or deep learning applications at an industrial scale. Proficiency in data infrastructure tools like Kafka, Clickhouse, and Spark is essential, along with expertise in deep learning frameworks such as JAX or PyTorch. Exceptional candidates may also have experience in writing CUDA kernels.

xAI offers a competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $440,000 per year, along with equity options.
