Mobile iOS Engineer
xAI is seeking an exceptional iOS engineer to join a small, high-impact team dedicated to creating the world's most valuable AI application, judged by the impact it delivers to users. The Mobile iOS Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing intuitive, pixel-perfect mobile user interfaces that redefine how users interact with AI. Key responsibilities include crafting delightful user experiences, obsessing over every pixel, animation, and interaction to ensure a magical and seamless experience, building highly performant systems where every millisecond counts, and driving technical and product decisions in collaboration with AI researchers and engineers to deploy state-of-the-art models globally.
Candidates must be experts in Swift, with deep knowledge of UIKit and SwiftUI. Proficiency in performance optimization—memory, CPU, GPU—using low-level tools to deliver blazing-fast systems is essential. Experience in designing and shipping intuitive mobile UIs, skilled in concurrency and reactive programming (Combine) for responsive, real-time apps, and building high-throughput integrations with APIs (REST, gRPC) or AI model outputs are required. The ability to own complex features end-to-end, from architecture to App Store deployment, with a focus on speed and scalability, is also necessary.
The annual salary range for this position is $180,000 to $440,000 USD.
