Operations Associate, Private Debt
The Operations Associate, Private Debt at Audax Group is responsible for various functions within the Private Debt Operations Team. This team member will work closely with the deal and Finance teams in coordinating and executing all aspects of the trade closing process through review of allocations, legal documents, and the flow of funds while executing wire transfers. The role entails working alongside and guiding relationships with Trustees, tracking cash and purchasing power, using a variety of systems to accurately reflect the business’s holdings, and working on daily leverage facility needs while promoting an environment of compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
Key responsibilities include leading daily trade activity by contributing to the settlement of Primary and Secondary trades with counterparties utilizing WSO, ClearPar, and BlackMountain systems. The associate will interact daily with Portfolio Managers and the Private Debt Fund Management Team for allocations and coordination of trade settlements. Additional duties involve coordinating with agent banks to resolve trade discrepancies, managing relationships with Trustees and Custodians on trade fundings and record-keeping, and recording and verifying various financial transactions such as Paydowns, Drawdowns, and Interest rate resets.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or a related major, along with at least 5-8 years of professional experience, preferably with a focus on debt products. Proficiency in WSO, ClearPar, and BlackMountain systems is advantageous. Advanced knowledge of Excel, strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize a time-sensitive workload, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
The base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $130,000. Compensation may vary and will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
