Operations Manager, AV Projects
Via is seeking an Operations Manager for Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Projects to oversee daily operations of their AV and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) fleets. This role is integral to ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation services in various U.S. markets. The position requires regular on-site presence and occasional travel to different service locations.
Key responsibilities include managing daily operations to ensure smooth fleet performance, making real-time decisions on fleet availability and WAV compliance, and addressing rider accessibility needs. The role also involves analyzing ridership trends and service performance data to implement operational improvements, acting as a liaison between local partners and central teams, and leading driver onboarding and WAV safety training sessions.
Candidates should have experience in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented roles, with a preference for backgrounds in paratransit, Non-emergency Medical Transport, or WAV fleets. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to enhancing equitable transit access are essential. The position is based in Los Angeles or the Bay Area, with expectations for on-site and in-office work.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per year, with final compensation determined by the candidate's experience and qualifications. Benefits include free medical plans and 401(k) matching.
