Oracle Cloud Architect
Beacon Software is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the transition of one of its portfolio companies into a cloud-native future. This high-impact role requires a full-stack infrastructure mindset, managing enterprise database administration, cloud architecture, and secure networking. The successful candidate will ensure the performance, security, and scalability of a proprietary ERP solution across 36 modules, facilitating seamless integration for a global client base.
Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing a sophisticated multi-tenant (CDB/PDB) environment, acting as the primary authority for Oracle 19c databases, and driving the final stages of client migrations from on-premises to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role also involves managing internal firewalls, securing client connectivity via VPN tunnels and IPSec configurations, maintaining high availability for in-house servers, and owning the Disaster Recovery strategy to ensure zero-data-loss for major clients. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate directly with customers to implement complex software customizations and interfaces.
The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience in Oracle Database Administration and Systems Engineering, with expert-level knowledge of Oracle 19c, Multitenancy, Oracle APEX, and legacy Oracle Forms/Reports. Proven experience with OCI, specifically Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Load Balancers, and Cloud Storage, is essential. Advanced administration of Oracle Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments, a deep understanding of networking protocols, firewall management, and IPSec VPN setup are also required. Prior experience supporting or integrating large-scale ERP systems is highly preferred. The candidate should be able to operate independently in a 100% remote environment while maintaining high visibility and be comfortable translating complex technical requirements for business stakeholders and customers. A focus on optimization, identifying ways to reduce complexity through automation and standardization, is crucial.
