Physical Security Lead
Chime is seeking a Physical Security Lead to oversee the safety and security of its San Francisco headquarters. This role is integral to the company's mission of providing a secure environment for its employees and operations. The Physical Security Lead will be responsible for managing daily security operations, including guard services, access control, and surveillance systems, ensuring they function effectively and scale with the company's growth.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the 24/7 Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC), leading real-time incident responses, and conducting regular site assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks. The role also involves ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures across all shifts and managing relationships with external vendors, such as contract guard teams and security system providers.
Candidates should have 3–7 years of experience in physical security, military, or law enforcement environments, with at least 1–3 years in a leadership or field operations role. Hands-on experience in incident response, familiarity with access control systems and video management platforms, and a keen eye for risk assessment are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to enforce standards and procedures are also required.
The base salary for this position ranges from $94,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Full-time employees are also eligible for bonuses, competitive equity packages, and comprehensive benefits.
