Physics Tutor
As an AI Tutor - Physics Specialist at xAI, you will play a crucial role in advancing our AI technologies by providing high-quality input and labels using specialized software. Collaborating closely with our technical team, you will support the training of new AI tasks and contribute to innovative initiatives. Your responsibilities include refining annotation tools and selecting complex problems from advanced physics fields to drive significant improvements in model performance. This role involves gathering or providing data in text, voice, and video formats, including annotations, audio recordings, or video sessions.
Key responsibilities include using proprietary software applications to provide input and labels on defined projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality curated data, and collaborating with technical staff to develop and implement cutting-edge initiatives. You will also interact with the technical team to improve the design of efficient annotation tools and solve problems that drive innovation in physics by guiding AI models to enhance research in specialized areas. Additionally, you will select problems from various physics fields that align with your specialization, providing detailed solutions and evaluating model responses.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or PhD in physics or a highly related field, with expertise in one or more subdomains such as condensed matter physics, high energy physics, nuclear physics, atomic/molecular/optical physics, quantum computing and information, computational physics, mathematical physics, or interdisciplinary physics like biophysics. Proficiency in reading and writing in both informal and professional English is essential, along with a strong ability to navigate various information resources and databases. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are required, as well as solid reading comprehension and the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment even when presented with limited data. A strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation is also expected.
Compensation for U.S.-based candidates ranges from $45 to $75 per hour, depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
