The Platform Engineer, Test at inKind is a pivotal role responsible for developing and maintaining the testing infrastructure that ensures the quality and speed of product releases. This position is integral to inKind's engineering team, which operates through small, autonomous pods that manage products and outcomes end-to-end. By providing robust testing platforms, the role enables engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
In this hands-on position, the engineer will design and build frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD systems that support automated testing across web, mobile, and backend services. Key responsibilities include owning and evolving inKind's web and mobile testing platforms, designing and maintaining automation frameworks, building and maintaining harnesses for unit, integration, and UI testing, and establishing reusable testing patterns across pods. Additionally, the role involves partnering with engineering teams to improve testability, defining testing standards and best practices, and ensuring the operational health of testing infrastructure.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in building web and/or mobile testing platforms, with a strong background in writing unit, integration, and UI tests. A minimum of three years in developing and maintaining CI/CD solutions that enforce engineering quality standards is also required. Proficiency with testing frameworks such as Appium, XCUI, Espresso, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for engineering quality are crucial for success in this role.
The compensation for this position includes a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $160,000 annually. Additional benefits and perks are provided to support the well-being and professional growth of employees.
